What is a rose window?
A rose window is a large circular window, often filled with stained glass and stone tracery that radiates from the center like petals. They are a famous feature of Gothic cathedrals across Europe, from Notre-Dame de Paris to York Minster. The name Caelum, Latin for sky, fits them well: each one is a round window onto heaven.
